Dear Parents,
We had such a fun and musical time at the Long Center to hear the Austin Symphony Friday. The highlight of the field trip was listening to our children play their recorders with the symphony. It was definitely a proud and magical moment! A huge thank you to our fabulous music teacher, Debbie Martin, for instilling the passion of music in our children! ROBOLAB : Thank you Mrs, Rao, Mrs. Liu, Mrs. Perkins, and Mrs. Ramkumar for volunteering for our make up Robolab on May 21st. On Monday, June 1st. your child will be participating in Robolab. This is an opportunity for your child to learn science and engineering concepts using Legos. This program is sponsored by the PTA and enjoys the support of CCE parents. We would appreciate your help working with your child's classroom for Robolab! You do not need to know anything about Legos, engineering, or computer science. You only need to be attentive and encouraging. It is a fun way to see what your child is learning at school. If you would like to volunteer, just follow the link below to the automated volunteer website. www.SignUpGenius.com/go/20F0B4DA4AB2FA57-fourth Please come to the science lab at the top of the stairs. Background checks through RRISD are required to enter the school and take 3 days to update if you are not in the system. Please see the CCE website for RRISD online registration. Looking forward to seeing you in Robolab! SUPERMAN, WONDERWOMAN, SUPERHEROES: Friday, May 29, is our final Spirit Day sponsored by our CCE Student Council. Students are encouraged to dress as a Superhero! Have fun and be creative! PARTY ON DOWN: Our end of year class party will be on Thursday, June 4, from 7:45-8:45 a.m. Our room moms have a fun filled pancake party planned for my lucky students! I hope you can join us as we celebrate the end of our Fourth Grade year together. Remember to sign in at the office to pick up your visitors pass before coming to the classroom. Child care will not be provided due to class parties being held at different times throughout the day. Our class is so thankful to Liz Ewald (Volunteer of the Year) and Colleen Davey for all the time they gave us this year as our room moms! Their talents, enthusiastic nature, and fun spirit made each party enjoyable for all! Many thanks to all the parents who also volunteered for our parties, events and generous donations this year. You all have made everything special! PHOTO VOLUNTEERS: Thank you to the parents who volunteered to purchase our photos this year for our Memory Book. I am so excited to start putting our books together this week. I will definitely get a little emotional, but truly grateful to have had this amazing year with your children!
