Dear Parents,
Thank you to everyone who braved the weather and came to our showcase! I was so pleased with all the hard work the students prepared and presented. Your students showed such maturity and leadership. Congratulations to Rachel for her winning estimation guess of 325! There were 323 gumballs. We also had a Popsicle party with our reading buddies- what a fun year. Lunchroom: Please check your accounts. Students without money to cover lunches will be given a cheese sandwich. The cafeteria can not have accounts with negative balances these last two weeks. Volunteer Luncheon: Don't forget to join us for lunch on Tuesday, May 24. We would love to thank each of you personally for all you do for our students and school. Robo Lab-Our class will have our last day of Robo Lab on May 25th. Please consider volunteering. I will be in a conference that day and the substitute would appreciate all help. Please click on this link to sign up to help: www.SignUpGenius.com/go/20F0B4DA4AB2FA57-fourth1 The Meadows Center- Our field trip to The Meadows Center (aka Aquarena Springs) in San Marcos is Friday, May 27th. Your child will need to bring a disposable sack lunch and drink. If you plan to pack a lunch that needs to stay cool, you may want to freeze a water bottle to place inside the sack to keep the food refrigerated. We ask that the children wear their CCE t-shirts (maybe a poncho too!). We look forward to learning more about our natural springs and aquatic species. If you have a picnic blanket that we could use, please email me. Thank you. Memory Books- If you have any scrapbooking supplies, stickers, stationery, etc, please send those in with your child. We will begin making our Memory books soon, and appreciate any materials. End of year party-Our end of year class party will be on Thursday, June 2, from 8:00-9:10 a.m. Our room moms have a fun filled pancake party planned for my lucky students! I hope you can join us as we celebrate the end of our Fourth Grade year together. Remember to sign in at the office to pick up your visitors pass before coming to the classroom. For expedited entry to our classroom, please contact [email protected] for preprinted badges. Child care will not be provided due to class parties being held at different times throughout the day.
